Xmas Day

Xmas day was possibly one of my best xmas days ever. I sort of hate xmas anyhow; so subverting it in some creative way is always a pleasure. I spent the evening in a dive bar just off Sunset Boulevard with my old mate Tony and his girlfriend . The bar was great. It had a big old dog and a lot of overweight people drinking beer out of pint glasses. The people were friendly; the dog wasn’t and tried to bite my hand off. Tony and his girlfriend live in one of those big houses that hang off the side of the LA hills on stilts. I might go and stay; but I sort of like the hostel for now. There was a raucous xmas party in the hostel bar when I returned. I wish I had more time to discover LA; I have only ever touched the surface here and it has a big one.
