Open Source timeline creation


‘Simile Timeline’ is a Open Source timeline creation package created by David Huynh at MIT. It is designed for display in a Web browser. The ability to create a sophisticated interactive timeline will be useful to many in the arts and humanities, although at present the maker of Simile Timeline assumes that one is familar with the basics of hand-creating and editing Web pages, javascript and XML. The website has small example timelines which outline the life of the artist Monet, and the development of Cubism.
