Part of my new Job at the Arts and Humanities Data Centre (ADHS) at King’s College, London is to further develop an online guide for Arts and Humanities researchers called ICT Guides. ICT Guides lists methods that are used by the Arts and Humanities in the creation of digital resources. It’s an extensive guide and my task is to populate it with more methods (it currently contains about 150). The methods listed in the guide concern the creation of digital content, its capture, analysis, structure, and presentation. The guide also contains resources for training, pointers to the tools available, and case studies. Later down the track it is hoped that the guide can be used to promote collaboration within the Digital Humanities community through the use of online collaborative tools such as SAKAI. I would be interested to hear your comments on the guide; especially in terms of refining the editorial policy.
