One of the most sophisticated projects that I have come across in the field of online political communication in the government sector. AmericaSpeaks formed the Democracy Lab for Research and Innovation to advance the fields of citizen engagement and deliberative democracy by supporting activities that:
* Build knowledge around best practices
* Develop and test new ways to engage citizens
* Increase collaboration within the field
