This rather shallow, one-sided, and aggressive analysis of the Israel and Lebanon conflict is interesting; simply because it shows just how irresponsible some members of Parliament and media commentators can be. The conflict in the middle east is complex; yet this man ‘Galloway’ (admittedly I have never heard of him) makes it simple for a viewing public who often like simple answers for complex problems. You notice how much this man yells and screams and brings a fake ‘honest clarity’ to a conflict that (like all conflicts) lacks clarity; unless you are willing to put in the effort and look for it. The nature of all conflicts are that they are never black and white; yet when ever there is a conflict, it means that the most boorish, the most ill-informed, and least judicial people are bought to the fore. The first casualty of war is the truth and as all good researchers know, the truth is never obvious, it is a long and difficult road of hard work. If anything, this man Galloway is a very lazy man who hasn’t got the courage to look for the truth and the contradiction that this entails; rather an otherwise intelligent man, takes sides (for what purpose I am not quite sure) which means that he has already lost.

Thanks for your commentary Craig. The fact that he oppositional and actually says what he says within a prime-time news context is important.
It would be good to hear your comments about what other commentators say about the situation in the Middle East. I find them – these other commentators to be calm, well considered and sophisticated. Rational even.

Galloway is one of the least lazy people. Have known him to be well informed and couragous I might add… There are stiff campaigns to discredit him. He says what many are afraid to say and he does so in a manner that will gain media attention. Notice also how through the entire interview their are images of rocket fire damage in isreal, no where else! This is one debate in which we are not all necessarly in it together as we saw in that doco the other night.

Thanks Craig for your well structured and obviously very intelligent comments. As you say Galloway does know his stuff in regards to the history of the Jewish problem in the Middle East. I agree with you, the western media does not dare critise Jewish excesses and that is precicely why the current situation has occured. Galloway – as you say, speaks a truth that many Jews find uncomfortable because it challenges the precept, that the colony called Israel has disqualified itself from any claim to existence because of constant breaches of international laws. Galloway is as you say, one person that recognises Israels days are numbered by the dwindling power of the US, after that day jews in the middle east will shorely have something to truely worry about. Thanks for your comments Craig. Don
